SBS has officially set the premiere date for the live-action adaptation of Manager Kim, the hit webtoon that'll debut on June 26. The eight-episode series stars Ji-sub So as Kim, an unassuming office worker whose life takes a dramatic turn when his daughter disappears, forcing him to dust off his skills as a former covert operative.

The premise pulls no punches: Kim transforms into a one-man rescue force, willing to risk everything to bring his daughter home. It's a high-stakes family drama wrapped in espionage thrills.

The supporting cast brings serious talent to the project. Dae-hoon Choi plays Han-soo Sung, a taekwondo champion turned instructor; Kyung-ho Yoon portrays Jin-cheol Park, an ex-soldier; and Sang-wook Joo takes on the role of Kang-chan Joo, a ruthless construction mogul. Son Na-eun, known for her time in K-pop group Apink, joins as Sang-ah, Kim's coworker with her own secrets to hide. Sung-kyu Kim rounds out the cast as Sung Kang, a North Korean agent operating undercover in the South.

Manager Kim isn't operating in a vacuum—it's part of the same fictional universe as other popular webtoons including Lookism, Viral Hit, and My Life as a Loser. The original webtoon ran from 2021 to 2025 and struck an immediate chord with readers, making this live-action translation feel well-timed.
