Onigunsō, the talented creator behind Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari, has announced a brand new manga project launching March 19.

The upcoming series is titled Wanderlust, though details about the plot and setting remain under wraps. This marks Onigunsō's next major project following the success of Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari, which captivated readers with its unique blend of supernatural elements and traditional Japanese folklore.

Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari tells the story of Hyoma Kunato, a young man who can see and exorcise supernatural spirits called tsukumogami - objects that have gained souls after existing for 100 years. The series gained popularity for its creative take on Japanese mythology and received an anime adaptation that aired in 2023.

While we don't know much about Wanderlust yet, fans of Onigunsō's work can expect the same attention to detail and storytelling craft that made Malevolent Spirits such a hit. The title suggests themes of travel and adventure, which could indicate a departure from the supernatural horror elements of the creator's previous work.

Manga fans will want to mark their calendars for March 19 to check out what promises to be an exciting new chapter in Onigunsō's creative journey.
