Manga artist Yuu Yoshinaga has a new series coming to Shogakukan's Betsucomi magazine. Saredo, Futari wa Kusare En (Even So, We Have an Undesirable, Yet Inseparable Love) debuts June 12 in the magazine's next issue.

The series centers on childhood friends Muku Mochigi and Kyō Yakumo, who are practically stuck together despite constantly bickering and fighting. As they transition into high school, their complicated dynamic starts to shift in unexpected ways.

Yoshinaga brings solid pedigree to the project. The artist previously serialized Diary of a Female Lead: Shujinkou Nikki in the same magazine starting in August 2021. That series wrapped its main story in May 2025, with the 12-volume collection completed when Shogakukan shipped the final volume in January. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the title for English-speaking readers and released the fifth volume that same month.

Diary of a Female Lead proved popular enough to return for a special short serialization in Betsucomi's August issue last summer, showing the character still had life even after the main narrative concluded.

Betsucomi itself remains a solid home for romance and relationship-focused manga, making it a natural fit for Yoshinaga's new project about the complicated bond between two people who can't seem to stay apart. Fans of the artist's previous work should find familiar ground in exploring how adolescence reshapes childhood connections.
