Dorothy Odoroo's Mr. Vamp is a Vampire (Vamp-sensei wa Kyūketsuki) has wrapped up its serialization with the final chapter published on Kodansha's Comic Days platform on Thursday.

The manga launched simultaneously in Kodansha's Morning two magazine and on Comic Days back in March 2023, giving it roughly a three-year run. Two volumes have been released so far, with Kodansha shipping the second volume last November.

The series centers on an immortal vampire who's cycled through countless careers over the centuries. His latest gig: high school history teacher in Japan. While he believes he's maintaining his cover as an ordinary human, his lack of effort makes it painfully obvious to both students and teachers that something's off about him—though they play along with the charade anyway. The premise leans hard into comedy as the vampire's terrible disguise leads to constant awkward situations.

Kodansha USA has acquired the English-language rights and plans to publish the first volume this fall. For fans who've been following Odoroo's work, this gives a nice window to catch up on the completed series before diving in from the start.

It's unclear if there are any anime adaptation plans in the works, though the light, humorous tone of the manga could translate well to animation. For now, fans will need to stick with the manga if they want to follow Mr. Vamp's misadventures as a vampire educator.
