The official website for the Needy Girl Overdose anime dropped a "Next Chapter" promotional video this week, giving fans a first look at what's coming next. The promo uses "INTERNET YAMERO" by Aiobahn +81, a track from the original game that inspired the anime adaptation.

The series premiered in early April across multiple Japanese broadcasters (Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV) and began streaming simultaneously on ABEMA. It's also available on Crunchyroll for international audiences, with both Japanese subtitles and an English dub.

Yostar Pictures is handling animation duties with director Masaoki Nakajima (known for Blue Archive The Animation and New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT) at the helm. The character design team includes work from the original game's artist Ohisashiburi, alongside key animators from Blue Archive and other series.

The anime features a new streamer unit called Karamazov created specifically for the show. The cast includes Rina Kawaguchi as the group's leader Purple Lollipop, Satsuki Shiina as Michika Gokubara, and Seena Hoshiki as Nechika-sama. Anna Nagase rounds out the core cast as Kache, a vocational student working at a themed café.

The original game, Needy Streamer Overload on Steam, follows a girl with an intense desire for validation over a 30-day period. Composer Aiobahn +81 scored both the game and anime, with "Internet Angel" serving as the opening theme and Tatsuya Kitani performing the ending track "Levitation."

It's worth noting that the anime adaptation has faced some behind-the-scenes complexity. Game scenario writer nyalra, who provided the original concept and scenario for the anime, reported last year that he was removed from management and promotion duties. He's also stated that compensation matters remain under legal review, though he continues consulting on creative rights protection.
