New Cast Members Join Live-Action Mr. Osomatsu and Yamaguchi-kun Films

Two upcoming live-action adaptations have announced fresh casting additions that promise to expand their storytelling potential.

The second Mr. Osomatsu live-action film has cast three actors as scientists who will play important roles in the movie's plot. Eiichirō Funakoshi, Yudai Chiba, and Hitomi Miyauchi join the production as researchers whose work becomes central to the story. This casting choice suggests the sequel will take the sextuplets' adventures in a more science-focused direction compared to the original film.

Meanwhile, the live-action adaptation of Yamaguchi-kun Isn't So Bad has added two key supporting characters. Hikaru Takahashi will portray Satsuki Shinohara, while YΠΎΜ„ji Iwase takes on the role of Rion Ishizaki. These additions round out the cast for the romantic comedy based on the manga about a delinquent with a surprising gentle side.

For those unfamiliar, Mr. Osomatsu follows six identical adult brothers navigating modern life with their childish antics intact. The franchise began as the classic gag manga Osomatsu-kun before being revitalized as an anime series. Yamaguchi-kun Isn't So Bad centers on a tough-looking high school student whose intimidating appearance hides his kind nature, creating comedic situations as he tries to connect with others.

Both films represent the continued trend of bringing beloved manga and anime properties to live-action format, giving fans new ways to experience familiar characters and stories.
