Naru Narumi's manga Norainu to Tenshi-chan (Stray Dog and Angel) is shifting platforms. The series will wrap up its serialization in Monthly Young Magazine with chapter 9 in the June issue, then transition to Kodansha's YanMaga Web service for chapter 10 onward. Kodansha hasn't announced a return date yet, but the publisher plans to share the resumption schedule through their official X/Twitter account.

The manga follows Tōji, a 20-year-old who keeps a low profile after a past incident forced him into the spotlight. He works part-time jobs that let him stay under the radar until he meets Sakuya, a customer at his supermarket job. Sakuya possesses Super Eye, an ability that gives her perfect recall and memory, but it's made fitting in at school nearly impossible. The two outsiders end up living together and navigating life as misfits.

Narumi launched the series in Monthly Young Magazine in June 2025, and Kodansha published the second volume in April. The move to an online platform isn't unfamiliar territory for the creator—Narumi previously moved Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san to a web service after its original magazine ended, and that series went on to inspire a TV anime that aired in 2018 on Crunchyroll and a live-action adaptation.

This isn't Narumi's only current project either. The creator's manga Watari-kun no xx ga Hōkaisunzen concluded in September 2023 after running in both Young Ace and Monthly Young Magazine. That series also received an anime adaptation that premiered on Crunchyroll in July 2025.

Web serialization has become increasingly common in the manga industry, giving publishers flexibility to continue stories without the constraints of print magazine schedules. For Norainu to Tenshi-chan fans, the move means the story will continue—just on a different platform once Kodansha gives the green light.
