OceanVeil, WWWave Corporation's anime streaming platform, will begin streaming the "light anime" adaptation of Perfect Addiction on July 8 at 9:00 a.m. EDT. The anime premieres that same day on tvk at 11:25 p.m. JST, with early access available through Japanese streaming services d Anime Store, AnimeFesta, and Anime Times at 10:00 p.m. JST.

Perfect Addiction is based on Kaoruko Miyama's boys-love manga, which has sold over 1.5 million copies (including digital) since launching in Kaiohsha's Gush online magazine in April 2022. The story follows Akihito, a college student preoccupied with appearance and casual relationships, who becomes entangled with the aloof Sae after discovering a secret at a hotel in the entertainment district. What begins as a challenge evolves into something neither character expects.

Director Akashi Uozumi heads production at IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio, with Izumi Tezuka (known for I Want to Live a Long Life to Dote on My Favorite Stepbrother) handling series composition. The voice cast includes Yōhei Azakami as Akihito Kuji and Sōma Saitō as Sae Takatsuki. Sound direction comes from Yayoi Tateishi, and Midori Narikiyo provides the score.

This marks the second project under the BALLOON label, a boys-love initiative launched last year by IMAGICA Infos in collaboration with Dai Nippon Printing (DNP), CYBIRD, and BLUE RIGHTS. The label operates under the "light anime" concept, which prioritizes faster production schedules and lower costs compared to traditional animation workflows.

The first BALLOON project, I'll Live a Long Life to Dote on My Favorite Stepbrother!, began streaming on OceanVeil in January. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the Perfect Addiction manga for English-speaking audiences, with the second volume arriving July 21.

For North American fans, OceanVeil remains the exclusive streaming destination for Perfect Addiction outside Japan.
