Crunchyroll announced Thursday that the English dub for One Piece's Elbaph arc will arrive this fall in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The arc itself debuted in Japan on April 5 and is currently streaming with subtitles on Crunchyroll.

The arc features opening theme "Luminous" by singer Aina The End and ending theme "Sono Mirai" (That Future) by rock band 36km/h.

The Elbaph arc marks the first major story under One Piece anime's revised production schedule. Last October, Toei Animation and producer Ryūta Koike announced the anime would cap its annual episode output at 26 episodes starting in 2026—a significant shift from its historically relentless weekly schedule since 1999. After the Egghead arc wrapped in 2025, the anime took a three-month production break from January through March 2026 before returning in April with Elbaph as the first of two planned seasonal blocks.

According to Toei Animation, the new pace allows episodes to "incorporate more content, tempo, and pacing of the manga while continuing to leverage the unique storytelling that is only possible with animation." The anime's pacing has slowed considerably over the years despite airing most weeks since its 1999 debut.

The shift comes as the One Piece franchise expands elsewhere. Netflix will begin streaming all seven episodes of Wit Studio's One Piece remake worldwide in February 2027. That series condenses the first 50 manga chapters into roughly 300 minutes, offering a streamlined entry point to the story.

For longtime viewers accustomed to One Piece's near-constant presence on the schedule, the slower cadence represents a notable change—one the studio hopes will improve episode quality and bring the anime closer to the manga's pacing.
