Pokémon Gets Immersive Trainer Experience Arriving in Europe Spring 2027
A real estate firm, Canadian studio, and The Pokémon Company are teaming up to create location-based entertainment that lets fans experience being a Pokémon trainer. The immersive attraction launches across European locations starting spring 2027.

Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. announced a collaboration with Canadian multimedia studio Moment Factory and The Pokémon Company International to bring an immersive Pokémon experience to Europe. Starting in spring 2027, the location-based entertainment will give fans a chance to step into the role of a Pokémon trainer, with plans to tour multiple European venues.
The partnership capitalizes on renewed momentum in the franchise. Pokémon: Horizons, the newest anime series, premiered in Japan in April 2023 and arrived on Netflix in North America in March 2024. The show's "Wonder Voyage" arc kicked off May 22, keeping the anime franchise in the spotlight. The timing also follows the success of recent games like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which launched worldwide in November 2022, and Pokémon Legends Z-A, released last October for Nintendo Switch.
Moment Factory brings experience in creating immersive entertainment attractions, while Mitsui Fudosan's real estate expertise will handle venue development and logistics across Europe. The collaboration represents The Pokémon Company's broader strategy to expand beyond games and anime into experiential entertainment that engages fans in physical spaces.
Details about specific European locations, admission pricing, or the exact nature of activities within the experience haven't been announced yet. Given the scale of the project and the involvement of a major real estate developer, expect the attractions to be sizable installations rather than small pop-up experiences.
This move follows other entertainment companies' push into location-based attractions over the past few years, particularly in Asia and North America. For European Pokémon fans, the spring 2027 launch offers a hands-on way to engage with the franchise beyond screens—whether that's catching virtual Pokémon, training battles, or other interactive experiences the studios are cooking up.
