Pokémon: Horizons is expanding its cast with two new voice actors joining the anime's latest storyline. Yū Serizawa voices Navi, a character from Lumiose City, while Kazuki Ura brings to life Shirō, a powerful and muscular character (known as Ivor in Pokémon Legends: Z-A).

The additions come as the anime launches its "Wonder Voyage" arc, which premiered on May 22. This new chapter marks the show's fourth major story progression since its debut in April 2023. The arc draws inspiration from several Pokémon spinoff titles, including Pokémon Go, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon Sleep, as teased in promotional artwork.

Recent episodes have already incorporated tie-ins with the Pokémon universe. The 141st episode, which aired June 19, featured Toshiya Miyata (from boy band Kis-My-Ft2) voicing a leader of the "Shining Oceans" Unite Battle team, tying into the Pokémon Unite mobile and Switch game.

The show continues to evolve its musical identity as well. Series leads Minori Suzuki (Liko) and Yuka Terasaki (Roy) perform the new opening theme "Sekai Tsunagare," produced by HoneyWorks, while CUTIE STREET handles the ending theme "Cute na Kyūtai."

Horizons follows completely new protagonists Liko and Roy on their journey alongside starter Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet, including Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. The story also features a Shiny Rayquaza and introduces allies like Professor Friede and Captain Pikachu. Previous arcs explored Blueberry Academy from Pokémon Scarlet/Violet's Indigo Disk DLC and Kitakami from The Teal Mask expansion.

The production team includes director Saori Den, creative director Daiki Tomiyasu, and series composer Conisch, with Dai Satō (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) overseeing scripts. The anime airs Friday evenings at 6:55 p.m. JST.
