The third season of the new Ranma 1/2 anime is gearing up for an October 3 premiere, and the production team just announced a wave of fresh cast additions to join the returning ensemble.

Masako Nozawa, best known as the voice of Goku in Dragon Ball, takes on the role of Grand Master. Jun Fukuyama (Code Geass, Attack on Titan) voices Sentarō Daimonji, while Mayumi Tanaka and Saori Hayami round out the new additions in yet-to-be-revealed roles. Minami Tanaka also joins the cast as Tsubasa Kurenai.

Season 3 will air on NTV at 24:55 JST (effectively 12:55 a.m. on October 4) before streaming exclusively on Netflix immediately after broadcast. Director Kōnosuke Uda returns at the helm for MAPPA, bringing back most of the creative team that's guided the series since its October 2024 debut.

The animation team sees some notable additions this time around. Returning chief animators Yoshiko Saitō and Kōsuke Kawamura will be joined by Riko Kaneda (who worked on the first season) and Haruki Miura, known for his work on Ensemble Stars! and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean. Main animator Masahiro Kurio returns as well, alongside newcomers Atsuko Ishida—who animated the original 1989 Ranma ½ series—and Yoshihiro Takeda from The Devil Is a Part-Timer! seasons 2 and 3.

The new Ranma 1/2 anime has maintained steady momentum since launching two years ago. The first season premiered nationwide in October 2024, while Season 2 followed in October 2025, with both seasons broadcasting on NTV before streaming on Netflix. Series composer Kimiko Ueno and character designer Hiromi Taniguchi have been instrumental in bringing Rumiko Takahashi's classic manga to a new generation.

With this experienced roster—mixing established voice talent, returning animators, and fresh additions—Season 3 appears positioned to continue the franchise's recent revival. Fans can catch the premiere on October 3 across both traditional broadcast and streaming.
