Warner Bros. Japan has officially greenlit a fourth season of Record of Ragnarok, the anime adaptation of Shinya Umemura, Azychika, and Takumi Fukui's manga series about divine battles for humanity's survival. The studio unveiled a new trailer and logo alongside the announcement, with series illustrator Azychika sharing commemorative artwork.

Record of Ragnarok III premiered on Netflix in December 2025 before airing its first three episodes on Japanese television in April 2026. The third season featured 13 one-on-one matchups between gods and historical figures, culminating in the seventh battle to break a 3-3 tie and determine humanity's fate in the ongoing conflict.

The franchise has maintained strong momentum since its television debut in June 2021. The second season split its run across two Netflix releases—the first part in January 2023 and the second part (episodes 11-15) in July 2023. This staggered release strategy allowed the production team breathing room while keeping audiences engaged between drops.

The manga itself launched in Comic Zenon magazine in November 2017 and continues to generate significant franchise revenue. Beyond the anime, Record of Ragnarok has expanded into multiple spinoff manga titles, including the recently launched Kinden series that debuted in June 2024, plus a battle RPG smartphone game that launched in April 2025. Viz Media handles English localization of the manga both digitally and in print, while Mangamo secured its streaming license in 2022.

With Season 4 in production, fans can expect the anime to continue adapting the ongoing manga narrative. The series has proven itself a reliable draw for Netflix and domestic broadcasters alike, combining historically accurate character designs with stylized action sequences that resonate across both casual and hardcore anime audiences. The announcement of a fourth season signals Warner Bros. Japan's confidence in the property's staying power, even as the streaming landscape continues to shift.

No premiere date has been announced yet for Record of Ragnarok IV.
