RetroCrush announced Thursday that it's added two anime to its library: Hyakushō Kizoku – The Farmer's Days, an adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's autobiographical manga Hyakushō Kizoku (The Peasant Noble), and 500000000 years button, based on a short story from Sōta Sugahara's Minna no Tonio-chan manga series.

The Hyakushō Kizoku anime started on Tokyo MX in July 2023 with four-minute episodes directed by Yūtarō Sawada at Pie in the Sky. Three seasons have aired so far, with the third season running from October through December, and a fourth season is in development. The manga itself, which Arakawa began serializing in 2006, draws from her real experience working as a farmer in Hokkaido for seven years before she became a full-time manga creator. That farming background also influenced her agricultural-school manga Silver Spoon. JManga previously published the manga in English.

The 500000000 years button anime debuted in July 2022 with 12 episodes and has since added two more—its 13th aired in September 2024 and its 14th in December. Amazon Prime currently streams the first 12 episodes.

The RetroCrush news also includes a broader refresh of the platform's catalog this month. The service is adding or has added titles including the 1981 Urusei Yatsura series, Looking for the Full Moon, and Tamala 2010: A Punk Cat in Space, as well as films like RoboGeisha and Electric Dragon 80,000 V (both July 10), Angel Cop in an HD rerelease (July 17), and the Lone Wolf and Cub films and TV series throughout the month.
