RetroCrush announced the addition of two anime to its streaming library, expanding its catalog with both comedic and slice-of-life content.

Hyakushō Kizoku – The Farmer's Days brings Hiromu Arakawa's autobiographical manga to the screen. The manga chronicles Arakawa's seven years working as a farmer in Hokkaido before she became a professional manga creator—experience that later shaped her agricultural school series Silver Spoon. The anime adaptation features four-minute episodes directed by Yūtarō Sawada at studio Pie in the sky, with character design by Ayane Matsumoto. The series has already aired three seasons since its July 2023 premiere on Tokyo MX, with a fourth season confirmed. A fourth season is on the way.

The second addition, 500000000 years button, adapts a short story from Sōta Sugahara's Minna no Tonio-chan manga series. The anime originally debuted in July 2022 with 12 episodes and was previously available on Amazon Prime.

Beyond these two titles, RetroCrush is making a significant push into its back catalog this summer. The streamer has already added the 1981 Urusei Yatsura series, Looking for the Full Moon, and the experimental film Tamala 2010: A Punk Cat in Space. Coming July 10 are RoboGeisha and Electric Dragon 80,000 V, followed by an HD re-release of Angel Cop on July 17. Classic Lone Wolf and Cub content arrives later in the month and early August, including the original films and TV series. The August slate rounds out with an English-dubbed version of Bubblegum Crisis on August 14.

For fans of Arakawa's work, Hyakushō Kizoku offers a lighter side of the creator known for Fullmetal Alchemist and The Heroic Legend of Arslan. The manga began serialization in 2006 and continues irregularly, with the seventh volume published in October 2021. English-language readers can access the series through JManga's previous publication.

RetroCrush's expansion reflects growing interest in niche anime genres and classic titles alongside newer releases.
