Arc System Works unveiled the complete trailer for Robo-Ky at EVO 2026 over the weekend, confirming the robotic character will arrive in Guilty Gear -Strive- on July 2 as the latest season 5 DLC addition.

Robo-Ky follows Jam Kuradoberi, who joined the fighting game back in April. The character marks the second release in the current season pass, with two more DLC fighters scheduled to arrive in winter 2026 and spring 2027.

Season 5 builds on a pattern Arc System Works established over the past couple years. Season 4, which launched in July 2024, brought together returning favorites like Dizzy and Venom alongside fresh faces like Unika and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' Lucy. Each character has rolled out across several months, giving players time to learn matchups before the next addition arrives.

The Guilty Gear -Strive- roster has grown significantly since the game's June 2021 launch on PlayStation and PC. The fighting game has since expanded to Xbox platforms, Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch (January 2025), making it more accessible across different gaming ecosystems.

Beyond the game itself, the franchise recently jumped into anime with Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, which debuted in Japan this April. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series for western audiences, giving fans another way to experience the Guilty Gear universe.

The game continues to evolve through its seasonal content model. The Blazing Pass reward system launched in May alongside the character releases, offering players additional progression goals. This approach has kept the competitive fighting game community engaged well into its fifth season of post-launch support.

For players jumping into Guilty Gear -Strive- now, the game is available across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC through both Steam and Game Pass.
