Sakuyama Chocojiro Gets YouTube Anime Series
Shoei Delicy has launched a short anime series for its Sakuyama Chocojiro chocolate biscuits on YouTube, with 10 episodes already available and two new episodes dropping every Friday.

Sakuyama Chocojiro chocolate biscuits now have their own anime series. Shoei Delicy announced the project on Friday, with the first 10 episodes launching the same day on YouTube. New episodes will premiere every Friday going forward.
The shorts follow Chocojiro, a monkey mascot who lives on Chocodale mountain. After a human child introduces him to the biscuits, Chocojiro becomes obsessed and starts mimicking human behavior to spread the word about the product. It's the kind of charming premise you'd expect from a snack brand looking to build its mascot into something more.
Joji Ayano voices the enthusiastic monkey, with supporting roles from Yume Shinohara (Sakuta), Minami Miki (Tomocho), and Shiori Tani (NonP). The production is notably lean—Minori Uemura serves as director, scriptwriter, character designer, color artist, animator, photographer, and editor. rhinokino handles animation production, while Tasuku Odaka composed the score.
This approach to anime promotion through YouTube shorts has become increasingly common for brands looking to engage audiences in a format that feels more native to the platform than traditional advertising. The weekly release schedule also keeps viewers coming back for more.
If you're curious to check it out, the series is streaming on YouTube now, so you can watch Chocojiro's chocolate-fueled adventures whenever you want.
