Satoshi Miyakawa's manga series Namae no Nai Byōki (A Disease Without a Name) is heading toward the finish line. Big Comic Superior magazine confirmed that the series will end in three chapters, with the next installment arriving in the magazine's June 12 issue.

The manga, which launched in August 2024, won the grand prize at Big Comic Superior's Superior Document Comic Grand Prize competition this year—a win that came with 1 million yen (approximately US$6,784) and a guaranteed serialization slot. The series has built a solid following, ranking in the top 20 manga for male readers in the 2026 edition of Kono Manga ga Sugoi!, Takarajimasha's annual guidebook of acclaimed manga.

Miyakawa drew the series from personal experience, centering the narrative on his older brother's 30-year isolation. Three compiled book volumes have already been published through Shogakukan, with the most recent arriving in February 2026.

This conclusion marks another chapter in Miyakawa's diverse career. He's collaborated on several other projects, including the baseball-themed Ochiai Hiromitsu no Oreryū Tensei, which launched in Kodansha's Morning magazine in March 2024. Previously, he worked with Keisuke Gotō on Wanope Joker, a DC Comics collaboration that ran in Morning from January 2021 until its conclusion in 2023.

Miyakawa is perhaps best known in anime circles for his work on Space Battleship Tiramisu, which he created with Kei Itō. The absurdist sci-fi comedy manga ran from October 2015 to 2020 on Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch website and received a two-season anime adaptation. The first season premiered in April 2018 with 13 episodes, while Space Battleship Tiramisu Zwei followed in October 2018. Both seasons were available on Crunchyroll with subtitles and on Funimation with English dubs.

With Namae no Nai Byōki ending, fans will be watching to see what Miyakawa tackles next.
