JAST USA revealed the full English voice cast for School Days Remastered at Anime Expo this past weekend. The remastered version of Overflow's landmark 2005 visual novel will feature over a dozen voice actors bringing the game's characters to life in English for the first time.

Katelyn Barr takes on the role of Kotonoha Katsura, one of the main heroines, while Brittany Lauda voices Sekai Saionji. P.M. Seymour plays protagonist Makoto Itou, whose romantic entanglements drive the story's dramatic tension. The full cast also includes Jalitza Delgado, Sara Ragsdale, Kayli Mills, Jesse Inocalla, and many others across the game's extensive character roster.

The remastered release will support both English and Chinese language options on Windows PC, making it accessible to a broader international audience. This marks a significant effort to localize the game that became a cultural touchstone in anime fandom.

School Days originally launched in Japan over two decades ago as an adult visual novel before spawning broader media adaptations. A 12-episode anime series in 2007 gained international attention—though for an unusual reason. The anime's final episode aired alongside a real-life incident in Japan, leading stations to replace it with scenic boat footage and an explanation of programming changes. This moment birthed the "nice boat" meme that remains part of anime community lore.

Two original video anime spinoffs followed in 2008, and the franchise has maintained a dedicated following despite the developer announcing in 2012 that it would cease game production. A Nintendo 3DS spinoff called Island Days released in 2014, and Crunchyroll began streaming the original anime series in North America starting in 2009.

JAST USA previously released School Days HQ in English in 2012, making this remastered version another step in bringing the visual novel to Western audiences. The timing of this announcement and voice cast reveal suggests the company is ramping up production for a release window, though specific availability details remain forthcoming.
