The Korean live-action Netflix series Spooky in Love is branching out from screens to webtoons. The official webtoon adaptation launched on Naver Webtoon on July 17 and updates weekly, following the live-action series' Netflix debut just a day later on July 18.

Based on the 2011 film Spellbound, Spooky in Love stars Park Eun-bin and Yang Se-jong as Yeo-ri Chun, a wealthy heiress with the ability to see ghosts, and Kang-wook Ma, a hot-blooded prosecutor terrified of the supernatural. The story centers on this unlikely pair joining forces to navigate an occult romance.

The live-action series has already found an audience on Netflix, ranking at number 8 on the platform's non-English shows chart for the week of July 13-19, with 1.7 million views. The webtoon adaptation appears designed to capitalize on this momentum while reaching fans who prefer the comic format.

Naver Webtoon plans to roll out the webtoon internationally across seven countries by mid-August, suggesting the franchise's creators are betting on broad appeal beyond South Korea. This multi-format strategy—live-action series paired with webtoon adaptation—reflects how Korean entertainment companies are maximizing reach across different media platforms and audiences.

Fans interested in Spooky in Love can currently watch the live-action series on Netflix, while the webtoon is available on Naver Webtoon with weekly updates.
