Steel Ball Run Episode 6 Introduces President Funny Valentine
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run episode 6 aired October 31, introducing the series' main antagonist and establishing the story's central conflict. The episode deepens the franchise's exploration of masculinity and power through its new villain.

Steel Ball Run's sixth episode has arrived with a major turning point: the introduction of President Funny Valentine as the overarching villain. This reveal shifts the series' thematic focus sharply, as the show begins to critically examine ideas of masculinity, patriotism, and power that earlier JoJo installments largely celebrated.
The episode establishes that checkpoints along the Steel Ball Run race correspond to a map created by the biblical Joseph. Combined with references to mummified corpse parts that Steven Steel and President Valentine are pursuing, the story is now positioned as a race across America where Gyro and Johnny must prevent the actual body of Christ from falling into the hands of the U.S. government.
Meanwhile, the dynamic between protagonists Gyro and Johnny continues to develop as they traverse the desert on horseback after surviving assassination attempts. The two characters already display the chemistry that makes them fan favorites within the franchise, trading insults about opera like casual friends despite meeting less than a week prior in-universe.
The episode introduces another Stand user: Pork Pie Hat Kid, whose Stand Wired emerges from his mouth with supernatural wench-like properties. The sound design for Wired stands out through mechanical and industrial audio that contrasts with the wild west setting. Voice actor Greg Vinciguerra delivers a performance that brings the villain to life with distinctive character work.
Steel Ball Run is streaming on Crunchyroll.
