Scarlet Moon Records announced a new jazz tribute album dedicated to Studio Ghibli's most beloved film scores. Prescription for Sleep: Ghibli, arriving July 20, features 12 soothing jazz arrangements of songs from Ghibli's catalogue, performed by the music duo GENTLE LOVE.

GENTLE LOVE pairs saxophonist Norihiko Hibino—known for composing scores for the Metal Gear Solid and Bayonetta game series—with pianist AYAKI, who has worked on soundtracks for Etrian Odyssey and Persona Q. Together they've arranged tracks from across Ghibli's filmography, including "Merry-Go-Round of Life" from Howl's Moving Castle, "The Path of the Wind" from My Neighbor Totoro, the "Princess Mononoke Theme Song," and "The Dragon Boy" from Spirited Away. The album also includes an original composition titled "Compassion."

The release date marks the 25th anniversary of Spirited Away and the 35th anniversary of Only Yesterday. Prescription for Sleep: Ghibli is the 17th album in the "Prescription for Sleep" series, which Scarlet Moon Records launched in 2014. The label has built a catalog of original video game soundtracks and unique arrangement albums since 2013. GENTLE LOVE previously released the 12th entry in the series, Prescription for Sleep: Attack on Titan, in April 2022.

Three tracks—"A Town With an Ocean View," "The Path of the Wind," and "The Girl Who Fell From The Sky"—are available now on Bandcamp as part of the pre-order campaign. The full album is available for pre-order digitally across major platforms including Bandcamp, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, YouTube, Pandora, Tidal, and Deezer.
