Color design comes from Shuuji Uemura (Aho Girl), with Ryou Kujirai (Grancrest Senki) on photography duties. CG work falls to Hidenori Fujitani (Tokyo Ghoul:Re), and Ami Ishii (Hazure Skill "Kinomi Master") is editing. Kuze Retsu produces the music with Nichion handling production, while Masaharu Watanabe serves as animation producer.
The anime has already launched in a unique format. The first six episodes aired as twelve 12-minute mini-episodes on Abema starting June 3, giving viewers an early taste of the romantic comedy. Regular weekly broadcasting begins July 9 on TBS, with AT-X carrying it as well.
Super no Ura de Yani Suu Futari originated on creator Jinushi's X (formerly Twitter) account in March 2022 before serialization began in Monthly Big Gangan that August. Square Enix published the eighth volume in January, with volume nine scheduled for July 24.
