Fans of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time have a reason to revisit the beloved time-travel romance this summer. The classic anime film is getting a 4K revival screening across Japan, and distributor Filmarks is sweetening the deal with limited-edition advance ticket cards featuring exclusive artwork.

The MoviTicke Cards showcase lead characters Makoto Konno and Chiaki Mamiya in a charming "what if" illustration by animation director Hiroyuki Aoyama. Rather than the film's canonical story, the artwork imagines the pair on a date at a summer festival enjoying fireworks—a playful alternate reality for fans to enjoy.

The cards will be available starting June 19, with the 4K restoration hitting 166 theaters across Japan beginning July 3. Standard tickets are priced at 1,700 yen for adults and 1,000 yen for high school students and younger (approximately $11 and $6 USD).

For those seeking an even more immersive experience, the film will also screen in select 4DX theaters from August 21 through early September. The 51-theater 4DX engagement runs for two weeks and adds an additional fee on top of the standard ticket price, offering moviegoers a chance to experience the time-hopping adventure with enhanced motion and sensory effects.
