The Ogre's Bride anime is officially coming July 4, and the production team just shared everything fans need to know to prepare. A new promotional video revealed the full opening and ending theme songs, along with the names of key staff members behind the scenes.

ClariS—the popular vocal trio—will handle the opening theme "Hitokoto" (A Word), dropping on digital music services July 5 at midnight JST. Actor and singer Ikusaburō Yamazaki performs the ending theme "Shinboshi." ClariS also announced they'll add an extra concert stop in Tokyo on September 18 as part of their 15th anniversary tour.

Director Kazuhito Ōmiya leads the project at Colored Pencil Animation Japan, with series composition by Yumi Kamakura and music by Masaru Yokoyama. The newly revealed production team includes art director Mai Mai, color key artist Akiko Shibata, and compositing director Tomoyoshi Ishizuka, among others.

The cast brings together some strong voice talent. Saori Hayami voices protagonist Yuzu Shinonome, a high school girl caught between ordinary life and the supernatural world. Yūichirō Umehara plays Reiya Kiryuin, the ogre who claims Yuzu as his bride. The supporting cast includes Manaka Iwami, Natsuki Hanae, Nobunaga Shimazaki, and others.

The anime adapts Kureha's light novel series, which has been running since 2019 on the Novema! platform. The story follows Yuzu living in a world where humans and demons coexist peacefully—until she encounters a beautiful ogre who changes everything. The series won the grand prize at the First Novema! Character Short Story Contest and has grown to nine volumes, with the latest published in May 2024.

The anime will premiere July 4 at 24:30 JST (effectively July 5 at 12:30 a.m.) on Tokyo MX, BS11, and multiple streaming platforms including d Anime Store, ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai. Additional broadcast channels throughout Japan will follow.
