The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Finals (Kesshō Member Ketteisen) anime just revealed fresh details about its upcoming debut, including two new theme songs and an additional cast member.

The opening theme "Walls And Bridges" comes from Aozu, a four-member vocal unit featuring the seiyuu of four core characters: Junko Minagawa (Ryōma Echizen), Ryōtarō Okiayu (Kunimitsu Tezuka), Yuki Kaida (Shunsuke Fuji), and Takayuki Kondō (Shuichiro Ōishi). The ending theme "Kinkanshoku phenomenal" (Annular Eclipse phenomenal) pairs Junichi Suwabe (Keigo Atobe) and Hidenobu Kiuchi (Yūshi Oshitari).

Film actor Yū Shirota—who previously played Kunimitsu Tezuka in The Prince of Tennis live-action film—joins the voice cast as Romeo Fernandez, a Spanish competitor. His addition hints at the anime's focus: the battle to determine Japan's representative for the finals match against Spain.

This sequel follows directly from The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Semifinal, which aired starting in October 2024 and depicted the Japan vs. Germany semifinal. The original U-17 World Cup anime debuted on TV Tokyo in July 2022, marking the franchise's first new television series in roughly a decade.

Crunchyroll will stream the new anime as it airs, continuing the platform's support for the series. Both Japanese and English dub versions are expected, based on previous installments.

The Prince of Tennis franchise has maintained surprising longevity since its 1999 debut in Weekly Shonen Jump. Beyond the anime adaptations, it spawned live-action films, a popular stage musical series, and international productions. Creator Takeshi Konomi's original manga concluded in 2008, but the New Prince of Tennis continuation has kept the property alive for devoted fans.
