The staff behind The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King dropped fresh visuals and a promotional video on Saturday to build anticipation for the series finale, airing June 25.

The anime, produced by Jumondo under director Takayuki Tanaka, has been streaming on Crunchyroll with both subtitled and English-dubbed versions available worldwide (excluding Japan and mainland China). The series kicked off April 9 on Japanese networks AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and Kansai TV after being pushed back from its original October 2025 window.

Based on Noriaki Kotoba's manga from Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine, the story follows Serafina de Lavillant, the strongest female knight in the West, who's captured by the tribes of the East after her mission goes sideways. Expecting torture, she instead receives a marriage proposal from the tribe leader—forcing her to reconsider everything she believed about these supposedly barbaric people.

The production brings together experienced creative talent: Miya Asakawa (Shonen Onmyouji) handled series scripts, while Masayoshi Kikuchi (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist In Another World) led character design. The music is composed by Arisa Okehazama, with Mayu Maeshima performing the opening "Beautiful" and sajou no hana delivering the ending theme "Shiru Beki Koto."

English audiences can read the source material through two different releases: Seven Seas Entertainment publishes it as The Barbarian's Bride, while K MANGA offers it digitally under the original title. The manga's 11th volume shipped the same day the anime began airing in April, with the series having launched in 2021.

Fans wanting to catch up before the finale have had roughly two and a half months to work through the series on Crunchyroll. With the climax arriving midweek, the new promotional materials give viewers one last preview of what's coming.
