Shochiku has released the official final trailer for The World Is Dancing, the anime adaptation of Kazuto Mihara's manga about the life of Zeami, the legendary Noh theater reformer. The trailer features the ending theme song "Unnamed Flower" (Namonai Hana) performed by three-piece band hockrockb.

The newly announced cast adds depth to the supporting characters. Kenichirō Matsuda voices Yoriyuki Hosokawa, the Deputy Shogun of the Muromachi Shogunate, while several members of the Kanze Troupe—one of Japan's most prestigious Noh performance groups—lend their voices to younger performers in the ensemble. The Kanze members include Katsuhisa Hōki as Chōrō, Haruo Yamagishi as Samanosuke, Sōshirō Hori as Mantarō, and four others rounding out the troupe.

The series stars Yumiri Hanamori as protagonist Oniyasha, alongside Takahiro Sakurai as Ashikaga Yoshimitsu and Katsuyuki Konishi as Kan'ami. Romi Park, Maaya Uchida, and Mamiko Noto round out the main cast.

Toshimasa Kuroyanagi (Backflip!!, The Great Passage) directs at Cygames Pictures, with character designs by Keigo Sasaki (Blue Exorcist, ERASED). Macaroni Empitsu perform the opening theme "shusho."

The story follows Oniyasha, born in 1374 into a family of sarugaku theater performers during the turbulent Northern and Southern Courts period. Haunted by the question of why people dance, he discovers a performance that transforms his understanding of the art form—setting him on the path to becoming the historical Zeami, who revolutionized Noh theater.

The World Is Dancing premieres July 2 at 10:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto, with additional broadcasts on Sun TV, BS Asahi, and TVQ Kyushu starting July 3. HIDIVE will begin streaming the first episode June 29, while Amazon Prime Video in Japan streams starting the same date at 10:00 p.m. JST. Anime Expo attendees can catch the world premiere of episode two on July 2 at 6:45 p.m. PDT.
