Kadokawa has set an October 2026 premiere date for the anime adaptation of Hiro Oda's light novel Even Though She's a Timid Young Lady to the Max, She Agreed to Her Shrewd Fiancé's Bet. The announcement came with the first promotional video, full voice cast reveal, and production staff details.

Miku Itō returns as protagonist Pia Rockwell, with Ryōta Ōsaka reprising his role as Rufus Stan—both actors previously voiced these characters in the novels' voice drama and manga voice comic episodes. The additional cast features Rina Hidaka as Caroline Ramsey, Sora Amamiya as Erin White, and Haruki Ishiya as Henry Cox.

Nobuaki Nakanishi directs the series at Jumondo, with Hiroko Fukuda handling scripts and Moe Hyūga and Natsuki Hamada composing music. Character design comes from Hyun Sik Choi, while the art team includes Shunsuke Sakai (background), Kazuhiro Arai (art direction), and Hitomi Fujii (color design).

The story follows Pia, an ordinary grad student reincarnated as a 10-year-old background character in an otome game world. Remembering the game's ending—where her engagement to the prime minister's son gets called off and she's banished—she asks Rufus to break their engagement while they're young. His interest piqued by her unusual request, Rufus instead proposes a bet: they'll wait seven years to see if he'll actually go through with the breakup.

Oda originally posted the story on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in January 2020, with Kadokawa publishing the light novels starting in August 2020. Seven volumes have released as of April 2024. A manga adaptation by Aji Murata has been serializing on Comic Walker since 2021, with five compiled volumes published.

The anime marks the third major adaptation of the romantic comedy, following the voice drama and manga voice comic releases.
