The manga adaptation of Trapped as the Villain in My Favorite Dating SIM: But I Know How to Win Over All the Heroines! has wrapped up on Square Enix's Manga UP! service. Writer Kennoji and artist Yūma Yun brought their story to a close with the eighth and final part of the concluding chapter published Wednesday.

The series follows Yuto Hatano, a player obsessed with the dating sim After School Flare Star. After wishing his real school life resembled the game, he wakes up transported into the game's world—but with a cruel twist. Instead of playing as the protagonist Shun Ogasawara, he's been recast as Kanji Aku, the villain. With every heroine's affection meter bottomed out and permadeath consequences for wrong choices, Yuto must use his intimate game knowledge to romance all the heroines and find a way home.

The manga launched on Manga UP! in April 2025 and quickly gained traction among fans of isekai and romance comedy. Square Enix released the first compiled volume in July 2025, followed by a second volume in January 2026. The English translation has been available through Manga UP! Global throughout the series' run.

Kennoji previously worked on Drugstore in Another World: The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist, another isekai comedy that found success with readers. This collaboration with artist Yūma Yun proved similarly engaging for audiences looking for lighthearted romance with video game mechanics and high-stakes comedy.

While the manga's conclusion marks the end of the story in its original serialized form, there's no word yet on whether an anime adaptation is in development. The premise—a protagonist trapped in a dating sim as the villain—offers plenty of comedic and dramatic potential that could translate well to animation. For now, fans can catch up with the complete story through the two published volumes available in English on Manga UP! Global.
