Tubi TV has picked up the streaming rights to Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, marking the latest anime adaptation of the iconic mystery-solving franchise. Warner Bros. Animation is producing the series with OLM, the studio behind Pokémon, handling animation duties.

The story takes a fresh approach to the franchise by setting the action in Japan. While visiting the country on a food-focused adventure, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy accidentally release hundreds of mythical monsters causing chaos across the nation. To fix their mistake, they team up with Scooby's uncle Daisuke-Doo, magical girl Yume, and tech specialist Takumi as they chase mysteries and monsters throughout the country.

Itsurō Kawasaki directs the series, bringing experience from shows like Cardfight!! Vanguard and The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil. Francisco Paredes serves as co-producer. For the English voice cast, Frank Welker reprises his iconic role as Scooby-Doo while Matthew Lillard voices Shaggy.

This marks an evolution of an earlier project. Warner Bros. Animation initially announced a similar series called Go-Go Mystery Machine at the 2024 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, with plans to air on Cartoon Network. Yokoso Scooby-Doo! appears to be that project's final form under a new title and now heading to Tubi instead.

The Scooby-Doo anime lineup is expanding beyond this series. Warner Bros. also announced Scooby-Doo! Gokko, a collection of short-form anime episodes premiering in 2027 that will similarly focus on Scooby and Shaggy. This follows the model established by Tom & Jerry Gokko, which launched in Japan in 2022 with new episodes releasing monthly through partnership with Studio Fanworks and Studio Nanahoshi.

The full episode count and premiere date for Yokoso Scooby-Doo! on Tubi haven't been announced yet, but the series represents a broader strategy by Warner Bros. to bring classic properties to anime audiences both in Japan and internationally.
