Uma Musume: Pretty Derby Heads to Los Angeles With First Global Tour
Cygames' Uma Musume: Pretty Derby franchise is taking its live musical stage performances worldwide for the first time, with stops in Los Angeles, London, Seoul, and Yokohama following the Tokyo debut.

The Uma Musume: Pretty Derby franchise is going international. Cygames announced the global tour schedule for Uma Musume: Pretty Derby – 7th Event World Tour: The Stage, following the franchise's debut live performances in Tokyo on June 20-21.
The Los Angeles show will take place at the Peacock Theater, marking the first time the franchise's live musical events will reach audiences outside Japan. The tour also includes stops in London, Seoul, and Yokohama, making this a genuinely global expansion for the stage show format.
Uma Musume has built momentum over the past year. The game launched in English for iOS and Android on June 26, 2025, bringing the franchise to Western audiences for the first time. That same year, the title won Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards 2025, cementing its status as a major player in the gaming space.
For those unfamiliar with the franchise, Uma Musume centers on "Horse Girls"—girls with exceptional running abilities who aim to become top idols while competing in the "Twinkle Series," a national sports entertainment show. Players take on the role of teacher and trainer at the Nihon Uma Musume Training Center Gakuen, helping these characters develop and debut.
The original game launched in February 2021 for iOS and Android after a significant delay from its originally planned 2018 release. The extra development time paid off, as the quality improvements helped establish the game as a hit in Japan. A PC version followed via DMM Games in March 2021.
The stage show expansion represents a natural next step for a franchise that's already established itself across gaming and anime adaptations. The previous event, the 6th EVENT The New Frontier, ran in Saitama in May and October 2025, building the foundation for this international push.
Anime and game franchises have increasingly looked to live events as a way to deepen fan engagement and reach new audiences. For Uma Musume, the world tour positions the brand as one of Japan's major entertainment properties ready for global audiences.
More details about ticketing and additional tour dates are expected to be announced soon.
