Viz Media Picks Up Kiss Me With Your Face Manga
Viz Media has licensed the new manga Kiss Me With Your Face by writer Yukiaki Kurando and artist WOOMA as a simulpub series. The first chapter is free on Viz's website.

Viz Media announced Friday that it has licensed Kiss Me With Your Face (Kimi no Kao de Boku ni Kiss shite), a new manga by writer Yukiaki Kurando and artist WOOMA. The series launched in Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine on June 15, and Viz is offering the first chapter for free on its website.
The premise centers on Shikimi, a top-ranked student whose reputation and livelihood face serious threats when an envious classmate takes over his body. It's a suspense-driven story that explores what happens when identity becomes a weapon.
Kurando has previous experience in the manga world. He previously worked with artist Sōsō Sakakibara on Then Shall I Kill in Your Stead? (Jaa, Kimi no Kawari ni Korosō ka?), which ran in Bessatsu Young Champion starting in November 2018. That series wrapped up in November 2025 with a three-chapter epilogue. Yen Press handled the English release of that title, publishing all 12 volumes with the final volume arriving on April 20.
Kurando has also collaborated with artist Yūsuke Nomura on Dolly Kill Kill, another manga that Kodansha USA Publishing brings to English readers. That series has reached 11 volumes so far.
With the simulpub model, Viz Media makes new chapters available in English around the same time they release in Japan, allowing international readers to follow the story as it unfolds. This is standard practice for the publisher's manga licensing strategy, keeping English-speaking fans caught up with Japanese serialization.
For fans interested in checking out Kiss Me With Your Face, heading to Viz Media's website is the best starting point—the first chapter is there for free with a Viz account.
