KKG Takes 3rd at Nashville K-Pop Contest
KKG placed 3rd in the K-Pop contest at the Nashville Korean Festival. Knox Kpop shared the team's story on Facebook, and we are reprinting it here.
Three years ago, I started KKG for my daughter. I wanted to build a space, but what we actually built was a family. I started seeing more and more young people who were just looking for a place to belong, and they found it here.
From day one, my message to them has been simple but unstoppable:
IF YOU WANT TO INSPIRE, YOU CAN.
IF YOU HAVE PASSION, THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN'T DO.
IF YOU KEEP WORKING HARD, YOU WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY.
Because in this life, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.
These young people took those words and ran with them. The more they work together, the more they shine. They've put in countless hours of grueling practice and shared every ounce of sweat and heart to make this happen. Today, they are not the same people who first walked through our doors. They have transformed into confident, creative, and unstoppable forces.
They shared the hard days. They shared the exciting ones. And on Saturday, those huge smiles and very real, happy tears proved one thing: they did it. Winning 3rd place means absolutely everything to them, because they earned every single second of it.
Now, they know their ultimate goal is right around the corner. Nothing is impossible. This is just the beginning!
Thank you, Korean American Association of Greater Nashville, for giving them a moment, and a stage, to truly shine. We are so incredibly proud of you, KKG!
Let's keep rising!
