ACEes is taking over the small screen this summer with a new drama that marks a significant milestone for one of its members. "Summer Clouds Bring Love and Storms" (夏色の雲が恋と嵐をまきおこす) premieres July 11 on TV Asahi, with Shio Fukada making his debut as a lead actor in a continuous drama series.

Fukada plays Natsuki Takemiya, a high school senior preparing for college entrance exams who develops feelings for his sister's boyfriend. His co-star, fellow ACEes member Toki Ukisho, takes on the role of Aota, a science-minded college student who becomes the object of Natsuki's affection. The series balances coming-of-age themes with romantic comedy as it follows Natsuki's emotional journey and personal growth over the course of one summer.

The newly released poster visual gives viewers a glimpse into the show's visual storytelling approach. The cast gathers together in the poster, but the key detail lies in what's happening outside the windows behind them. Each character's window shows different sky conditions that mirror their emotional states—notably, Natsuki's window displays a dramatic storm, hinting at the emotional turbulence ahead.

To build anticipation before the premiere, the show is launching the "Summer Cloud Points Campaign" in coordination with its official website. Starting July 4 (one week before the first episode), fans can follow the drama's official X account and complete engagement missions like liking and retweeting specific posts to earn points. These points enter participants into a raffle for prizes including script notebooks and exclusive merchandise.

This isn't the first time ACEes members have worked together on screen, but Fukada's leading role represents a new chapter for the group's expansion into acting. The series also features the ACEes theme song, keeping the group's fingerprints on multiple aspects of the project.
