SixTONES' variety show "Golden SixTONES" aired a chaotic episode on May 17 featuring actor Toshiaki Karasawa, who showed up convinced of his own expertise—and quickly proved otherwise.

The episode centered on two main games. First up was "Size Dinner," a size-guessing challenge where contestants determine whether everyday objects fit into specific spaces. Karasawa arrived full of swagger, claiming he'd earned the nickname "sizer" for his sizing prowess. When faced with the question of whether a competition-grade yo-yo would fit through an airplane tray table's cup holder, he brushed it off with complete confidence: "I already know."

That swagger didn't last long.

The second challenge, "Session High School," required players to tap rhythms on their desks in sync with music to complete classic J-pop hits. With a special focus on retro hits that everyone knows, the SixTONES members rattled off correct answers one after another. Karasawa, meanwhile, was too busy frantically tapping his desk to keep up, repeatedly exclaiming, "I don't have time for this!"

Guest comedian group Taimu Mashiin 3-gou and host Shingo Fujimori (Orienatal Radio) rounded out the lineup, keeping the energy high as Karasawa's initial bravado crumbled.

The episode aired on Nippon Television at 9 p.m. and showcased the group's usual blend of games, celebrity chaos, and good-natured ribbing. SixTONES has been a fixture on Japanese television since debuting in 2020 with "Imitation Rain," a track produced by YOSHIKI of X JAPAN. Their latest album "GOLD" dropped in January, followed by the single "Stargaze" in September.

"Golden SixTONES" continues to be one of the group's main platforms for variety content, mixing games, performances, and celebrity appearances that keep both fans and casual viewers entertained. This week's episode proved that sometimes the most entertaining moments come when confident guests meet their match.
