MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN has unveiled the complete nominee list for its second annual Grand Ceremony, taking place June 13 at Toyota Arena Tokyo. The awards continue the country's push to recognize Japanese music globally, with a slate of major categories and specialized honors.

The six primary categories are Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Global Hit from Japan, and Best Song Asia. Across these divisions, heavy hitters like Ado, LiSA, Kenshi Yonezu, Fujii Kaze, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, and Sakanaction all received nominations.

Kenshi Yonezu leads the pack with multiple nominations, appearing in Song of the Year ("IRIS OUT"), Artist of the Year, Best Global Hit from Japan (for both "IRIS OUT" and the collaboration "JANE DOE" with Hikaru Utada), and additional specialized categories. Ado earned a nomination in Best Global Hit from Japan for "Useewa," while LiSA's "ReawakeR" featuring Felix of Stray Kids also competes in that category.

Beyond the main awards, MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN includes specialized categories recognizing different genres and regions. Best Rock Song, Best Anime Song, and Best Vocaloid Culture Song each have their own nominees. The "Best Japanese Song in..." category spans Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America, acknowledging Japanese music's global reach.

The Best Song Asia category broadens the scope further, featuring nominees from multiple countries including South Korea's PLAVE ("Dash") and WOODZ ("Drowning"), alongside Indonesian and Philippine entries.

In Album of the Year, Mrs. GREEN APPLE's "10" and Fujii Kaze's "Prema" compete alongside releases from Hoshino Gen and Southern All Stars. The New Artist of the Year category includes fresh names like CANDY TUNE, luv, and STARGLOW.

The June 13 ceremony will crown winners across all divisions, continuing MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN's mission to celebrate and promote Japanese artists on an international platform.
