Ado is bringing her cover song competition to a close with a special YouTube livestream on June 2 at 9 PM. The event will announce winners of the "Ai Ai A" Singing Cover Championship, which invited fans to post their own versions of the track across three major platforms.

The competition worked across YouTube, Niconico Douga, and TikTok, with participants using designated hashtags to submit their entries. Ado herself participated in the judging process, helping select winners across three categories—one for each platform. The livestream will reveal which covers earned top honors in the YouTube, Niconico, and TikTok divisions.

This covers competition fits naturally into Ado's history. The 23-year-old singer built her career on cover songs, uploading her first "utai te mita" (singing cover) to Niconico in 2017 before becoming a mainstream sensation. Her 2020 debut "Ussee wa" became a cultural phenomenon, and she's since released multiple original albums while maintaining connections to her cover roots.

Adо has had an active 2026 so far. She dropped her first best-of compilation "Ado no Best Album" in April and wrapped up her first-ever dome tour in November 2025. She's also gearing up for major summer dates, including a two-day run at Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa come July.
