androp frontman Takahito Uchisawa is taking a different approach to touring with his upcoming "Owatashi Reading & Live" tour, blending acoustic performances with readings from his new book "Sound from the Sky, Words from Within."

The tour concept merges music and literature in an intimate setting. Rather than traditional stadium shows, attendees will receive copies of Uchisawa's book at each venue, creating a closer connection between artist and audience. The title "Owatashi" carries meaning tied to sharing books, words, and music—core elements of the experience.

The tour launches August 15 at Shangri-La in Osaka and travels through Aichi, Kanagawa, Hokkaido, Aomori, and Fukuoka before wrapping February 27, 2027 at Tokyo's Asakusa Kagurazaka Theatre. Fan club members can secure presale tickets starting June 14 through June 18 via eplus.

Alongside the tour announcement, Uchisawa has partnered with Japanese domestic brand VALAADO on a limited-edition collaborative shirt. The piece draws from a custom shirt originally made for Uchisawa, crafted from wrinkle-resistant cotton-polyester oxford fabric. Design details include matching androp logo embroidery on the center back and left sleeve, while the left chest features lyrics from androp's song "Colorful."

This tour comes as androp continues a busy period for the Tokyo rock band. The group released their 15th anniversary tour last fall and is preparing to drop their new album "Hooray" in December. Uchisawa has also been collaborating with other artists—recently co-writing a track with singer Yuka—showing his expanding role beyond androp's traditional rock sound.
