Benjazzy, the rapper best known for his work with Japanese hip-hop collective BAD HOP, has become a father for the second time. Wife Mayuko announced the birth of their second son on Instagram, sharing her reflections on parenthood and family.

The couple's journey has been remarkably fast-paced. Benjazzy and Mayuko first met during an ABEMA special program's matchmaking prank segment in BAD HOP's variety show "BAD HOP: 10 Million Yen, One Week Life." What started as a setup became real, and they married in May 2024. Their first son was born later that same year.

In her Instagram post announcing the second arrival, Mayuko reflected on her pregnancy experience. "Through this pregnancy, I was reminded of how precious life is and the warmth of family," she wrote. "I also realized anew how grateful I am to have a husband who always stands by my side."

Benjazzy, born in 1994 in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, co-founded BAD HOP with childhood friends and gained recognition for his exceptional rap skills within the group. BAD HOP officially disbanded in February 2024 following their final concert at Tokyo Dome, after which Benjazzy transitioned to a solo career.

The rapper has remained active in Japan's hip-hop scene post-BAD HOP, participating in events like the Battle Summit III earlier this year. His move into fatherhood comes during a period of personal and professional transition as he establishes himself as a solo artist.
