BOYNEXTDOOR's variety show "Tomodachi Base" is bringing together two boy groups for a friendly competition. Chōtokkyū members Ryōga, Yūki, and Aroha will appear on the Nippon Television program on June 13.

The episode centers around the show's core concept: helping BOYNEXTDOOR build friendships in Japan by inviting guests to their fictional "Tomodachi Base" hangout space. This time, teams mixing BOYNEXTDOOR and Chōtokkyū members will compete in a "High & Low Quiz" game, answering questions about various pop culture highs and lows. The prize? Dessert sweets that Aroha brought to the studio.

Beyond the quiz competition, both groups will share behind-the-scenes stories from their live performances. As fellow boy groups, they have plenty to discuss about the unique challenges and unexpected moments that happen on stage.

About the Groups

BOYNEXTDOOR debuted in 2023 under KOZ Entertainment, a label under HYBE led by producer and artist ZICO. The six-member group—SUNGHO, RIWOO, JAEHYUN, TAESAN, LEEHAN, and WOOHAK—focuses on relatable conversations and shared experiences through music.

Chōtokkyū is a nine-member dance-focused group that debuted in 2012. Known as a "main dancer & back vocal group," they've built a career on impressive choreography and high-energy performances. The group achieved their first Oricon number-one single in 2017 and have expanded their reach to international audiences over their more than a decade-long career.

"Tomodachi Base" airs on Nippon Television on Saturday, June 13 at 2:30 PM JST.
