BOYNEXTDOOR's variety show "Tomodachi Base" is coming to an end, with Kento Nakajima joining the group for the finale airing June 20 on Nippon Television.

The show, which premiered to help BOYNEXTDOOR build friendships in Japan, centers on the group inviting guests to their fictional "Tomodachi Base" space. The concept addresses the group's initial concern about having few Japanese friends by creating a casual environment where they play games, chat, and work toward becoming actual friends.

For the final episode, Nakajima will participate in a "life hack challenge" where BOYNEXTDOOR competes to win desserts he's brought as prizes. The segment tests practical everyday skills, making it a lighthearted way to showcase different sides of the group.

Beyond the challenge, both parties will collaborate on a dance performance—a fitting cap to a show that's been about connection and shared experiences.

Nakajima, 31, graduated from the Japanese idol group Sexy Zone in March 2024 to pursue solo work in acting and music. He's appeared in films like "Silver Spoon" and "Kaguya-sama: Love Is War," and has expanded into international projects, including a role in the HBO series "Concordia" and work as a reporter for the Academy Awards.

BOYNEXTDOOR, the first group under HYBE subsidiary KOZ Entertainment (founded by producer ZICO), debuted in May 2023 with "WHO!" The six-member group—SUNGHO, RIWOO, JAEHYUN, TAESAN, LEEHAN, and WOOHAK—focuses on relatable conversations and shared experiences among peers through music.
