CANDY TUNE packed Tokyo's legendary Budokan for their debut headline shows at the venue, celebrating three years since launching under Asobi System's KAWAII LAB. idol project in March 2023.

Both nights of "CANDY TUNE 3rd ANNIVERSARY LIVE 2026 'CANDY CANDY CANDY PARTY'" sold out completely, with the group performing for roughly 20,000 fans total. The seven-member group opened with their first single "Kiss Me Patisserie," moving through high-energy setlist highlights including "Baibai FIGHT!"—the viral hit that triggered their breakthrough last year and led to an NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen appearance.

The production leaned into party theming with choreography, costume changes, and fan interaction elements. Members performed from a center stage setup, getting close to audiences on all sides. Highlights included unit songs making their group debut: "Princess Girls♡" from Nanako Ogawa and Kotomi Tachibana, "Bibibi Natsu FEVER!" from Hie Murakawa and Natsu Minami, and "Uninstall Chuu" from Haruka Fukuyama, Mizuki Kirihara, and Shizuka Miyano.

The group debuted a new track produced by 玉屋2060% (the producer behind "Baibai FIGHT!"), titled "Special Gratitude Festival." Released the morning of the first show, the song drew enthusiastic crowd response despite being brand new to audiences.

During the encore, CANDY TUNE announced "CANDY TUNE JAPAN TOUR 2026 -AUTUMN-," bringing shows to 18 cities across 23 performances from August through December. Member Haruka Fukuyama addressed fans directly, noting the tour represents a step toward their stated goal of eventually performing all 47 prefectures. Additional anniversary shows are scheduled for July 21-22 at Kobe's Glion Arena.

The Budokan shows capped a strong period for the group, who recently earned four nominations for 2026's Music Awards Japan and continue building momentum following their viral success last year.
