CANDY TUNE member Tachibana Kotonami is stepping into the fashion world as an exclusive model for CanCam magazine, beginning with the August 2026 issue released today.

The idol made her CanCam debut in April with a feature in the June issue, where she styled trendy lace pieces with a cute edge. The photoshoot sparked significant social media buzz, convincing the editorial team that Kotonami had serious potential. That positive response led directly to the exclusive model offer.

For Kotonami, this is a dream realized. She grew up reading CanCam with her fashion-loving mother and has long admired former exclusive model Ebihara Yuri ("Ebi-chan"). She's even shared that her father used to style her hair like Ebi-chan after baths. Upon hearing about the exclusive role, Kotonami was so overcome that she broke down crying at her desk.

The August issue features a four-page debut special showcasing Kotonami across multiple styling approaches, from casual to dressy. The spread includes in-depth interviews and personal messages to readers. Highlights cover her love for CANDY TUNE, memorable moments with bandmates, the secret to her never-moving bangs during intense performances, and specific details about her makeup routine.

The feature also includes Kotonami's hand-drawn self-portrait, childhood photos arranged in a personal timeline, and other content designed to help fans get to know her better. She's already eyeing her next goal: landing the magazine's cover.

CanCam's August 2026 issue is available in three versions: standard, special, and deluxe editions. CanCam's official YouTube channel will also release two bonus videos featuring Kotonami discussing her bag's contents and answering 100 rapid-fire questions about herself.

CANDY TUNE debuted in March 2023 under KAWAII LAB., the idol project division of Asobi System. The group's viral 2024 single "Baibai FIGHT!" brought them wider recognition.
