Yuki from Chō Tokkyū has been diagnosed with acute appendicitis and will be absent from the group's upcoming events starting tomorrow, June 23rd.

The nine-member "main dancer & back vocal group" announced that Yuki will miss two scheduled appearances: a store manager event called "KATE SHIBUYA meets Chō Tokkyū YUKI" at KATE TOKYO's Shibuya Sakura Stage location on June 23rd, and a streaming live titled "Talking with Yuki (Chō Tokkyū): The Reality of Dreams and Expression" on June 25th.

Yuki's recovery timeline will be determined in consultation with his medical team as his treatment progresses. The group has indicated that further announcements regarding his return and any adjustments to upcoming schedule will be shared as needed.

Chō Tokkyū, formed in 2012, comprises nine members: Kai, Ryōga, Takuya, Yuki, Takashi, Shuya, Masahiro, Aloha, and Haru. The group made their CD debut with the single "TRAIN" and have since built a significant following in Japan. Their most recent activity includes the 2024 release of their first EP "Just like Chō Tokkyū," following a lineup refresh in 2022 that brought four new members into the fold.

The group is known for their energetic performances and has achieved milestones including their first Oricon chart-topping single and arena tours across the country. Members have also expanded into acting and other entertainment ventures in recent years.
