Chilli Beans. has dropped their latest single 'breath,' a custom-written track that serves as the theme song for NHK's new five-episode drama series 'Musshoran Three Stars,' which premiered May 23.

The three-piece band—consisting of vocalist Moto, bassist and vocalist Maika, and guitarist and vocalist Lily—crafted the song to match the show's unique blend of prison life and culinary themes. 'Musshoran Three Stars' stars Eiko Koike in a social comedy that explores both institutional and gastronomic worlds.

According to the band, 'breath' takes a fresh musical direction, capturing "hope breaking through loneliness" with both delicate and powerful delivery. The single's artwork features an arresting visual of a dress floating in pitch-black water, designed by art director and graphic designer Jinks Naruo.

Chilli Beans. formed in 2019 and has built a solid track record over the past five years. The group debuted with the digital EP 'dancing alone' in 2021, followed by their first full album in 2022. Their second album 'Welcome to My Castle' came out in December 2023, and the band made history with their first Budokan solo concert in February 2024. They've since released live recordings and announced a hall tour running through December.
