Chohakkyu's younger members Aloha and Haru, affectionately known as the "Aloha Rail" duo by fans, just launched their concept photobook Bullet Train Aloha & Haru Concept Photobook: Aiha Yoru no Iro (roughly "Colors of Night"). The project, released May 29, celebrates both members crossing into their 20s with a fresh visual direction centered on nighttime settings.

The photobook showcases the pair at various locations including Tobu Zoo and Daikoku Garden, with production taking place over several days in early 2026. Both members emphasized the fresh approach to their image. "We're a bit more mature now, and the shoot locations were really diverse," Aloha explained at a launch event. "Everything about us is packed into this work."

Haru highlighted a hidden detail in the title: "It was important to us that night shoots are rare for us. This album lets us show a whole new side."

Behind the scenes, the shoot proved physically challenging. "We were out late, sometimes until 2 or 3 AM, and it was cold," Haru recalled. One particularly funny moment involved the pair huddling together for warmth during an outdoor night shot—a moment that made it into the final product. Aloha's favorite featured both members on a go-kart, where he admitted he'd intentionally slowed down to ride alongside Haru for a date-like feel.

The members also shared lighter stories about their dynamic. When Haru mentioned being cold during one shoot, Aloha stepped up to help manage the schedule so he wouldn't catch a cold. "He showed some real cool leadership," Haru said, prompting Aloha to add with a laugh: "I was just trying to show a little grown-up composure."

When asked to rate the final product, both gave it perfect scores. Haru joked that their natural chemistry meant they barely changed their behavior whether cameras were rolling or not. "We're the types who'll play Pocky games without being asked, so that natural side is captured too."

Both members also touched on Chohakkyu's upcoming November Tokyo Dome concert, with Haru humorously stating that avoiding illness was his main goal. He added that leader Ryoga's recent bout with flu shouldn't worry fans: "He usually gets sick around year-end anyway, so we should be safe come November."
