CLAN QUEEN delivered a theatrical final performance for their "Grand Hotel MONOPOLY Tour 2026" on May 15 at Tokyo's Zepp DiverCity, abandoning the video projections that typically define their live shows in favor of an intricate stage concept that transported audiences into a specific narrative world.

Attendees received cards upon entry detailing the history of the fictional "GRAND HOTEL MONOPOLY"—a prestigious establishment now gutted by fire and left in disrepair. This storytelling device set the tone for what followed: a carefully choreographed concert that treated each song as a different scene or character within this abandoned hotel.

The stage itself resembled a classical hotel lobby, complete with a front desk, furniture, and the hotel's neon signage. Opening track "Whitoxin" introduced the venue's desolate present, with vocalist yowa performing amid falling snow. Subsequent songs moved through different emotional and narrative spaces, from the melancholy of "HARU" to the exuberant energy of "MONOPOLY," where yowa stood atop the counter.

The band—featuring yowa on vocals, AOi on guitar, Maï on bass, and support drummer Yoshihiro Kawamura—showcased the dynamic interplay that defines their sound. "Alice no Uso" featured particularly striking interplay between Maï's and Kawamura's rhythmic foundation and yowa's delicate vocal lines, while "PLAYER01" saw members trading instrumental solos.

During their mid-show MC, AOi revealed the concert's underlying concept: "a group drama where people with different values intersect." The metaphor of a grand hotel—a singular space hosting multiple characters with conflicting perspectives—framed how the band approached song selection and arrangement throughout the evening.

The finale escalated with "Eden" and "APPLE," followed by high-energy tracks that had audiences dancing and singing along. AOi used the closing moments to reflect on how acknowledging one's own shortcomings shapes values, tying the evening's theatrical framework back to genuine emotional connection with both bandmates and fans.

CLAN QUEEN recently shifted to Sony Music labels following a March free live announcement and April release of their major-label debut triple A-side single "Secret Empire." The group will continue this creative momentum with an upcoming one-man live scheduled for December 18 at Tokyo Garden Theater.
