Drama 'Mismatched School Trip' Gets Japan Fan Meeting with Genjibu & DXTEEN Cast
The BL drama 'Mismatched School Trip' is hosting its first Japanese fan meeting on August 10 in Tokyo, featuring cast members including Genjibu's Sakuragi Masaya and DXTEEN's Fukuda Ayuta.

The cast of the hit BL drama "Mismatched School Trip" ("修学旅行で仲良くないグループに入りました") is coming together for a fan meeting in Japan this summer.
Scheduled for August 10 at Meguro Persimmon Hall in Tokyo, the event—titled "Summer Vacation Reunion"—will feature five cast members: leads Fujimoto Kouta and Kan Shuukichi, alongside Sakuragi Masaya from Genjibu, DXTEEN's Fukuda Ayuta, and Shimizu Kairi. The meeting will include retrospective discussions about the series.
The drama aired on ABC TV during fall 2025 and centers on an ordinary high school student who gets grouped with the four most popular boys—dubbed "the Four Heavenly Kings"—on a school trip. What unfolds is a tense romantic thriller as one of the boys, Watai Tsumutaka, becomes obsessed with the protagonist despite his outwardly gentle exterior hiding a jealous nature.
Since its broadcast, the series has gained significant international traction. Taiwan hosted a fan meeting, and South Korea is scheduled to get one in June. The drama's opening theme "Tremolo" is performed by Genjibu, while DXTEEN handles the ending theme. Notably, the opening theme's live video was just released on Genjibu's YouTube channel.
The August event will run in two sessions—afternoon and evening—giving fans multiple opportunities to attend. Early ticket sales opened May 31.
The show's success extends beyond its passionate fanbase. Both Genjibu and DXTEEN have continued their momentum in 2026, with band members appearing in other projects and recent releases. The drama's blend of school setting romance and deeper emotional complexity clearly resonates across different markets, explaining why organizers felt confident expanding the fan meeting experience to Japan after seeing enthusiasm from Taiwan and Korea.
