Eve has stepped into the composer's role for a new collaboration with vocalist Rokumenashi. Their track 'Houkiboshi' has been selected as the ending theme for the upcoming anime 'Futsutsuka na Akujo: Hinomiya Chounezumi Torikae Den,' which premieres July 12 on TV Tokyo.

The anime follows two girls from rival families—Reirin from the Huang household and Huiyue from the Zhu household—who swap identities, triggering a chain of events that entangles them in palace conspiracies. 'Houkiboshi' captures Huiyue's emotional journey as she pushes forward without losing sight of her dreams, mirroring the character's resilience throughout the story.

Rokumenashi, who performs vocals on the track, praised Eve's composition work: "This opportunity allowed us to create a song that expresses Zhu Huiyue's inner conflict while depicting her determination to keep moving forward. I hope 'Houkiboshi' becomes a song people love alongside the anime."

Eve, known for her work on anime openings like 'Jujutsu Kaisen's "Kaikai Kitan" and her solo releases, reciprocated the sentiment. "Rokumenashi really understood the depth of the lyrics and poured emotion into every breath," Eve shared. "The final result amplifies the anime's world in every way possible."

'Houkiboshi' drops July 15 across streaming platforms. A promotional video featuring the song has already gone live on YouTube, giving fans a preview of how the track pairs with the anime's visuals.

Eve has been active recently, completing her Asia Tour 2024 last year and releasing her major-label fourth album 'Under Blue' in November 2024. She's set to embark on her largest arena tour, 'Eve Arena Tour 2025: Under Blue,' running July through August.
